James Forbush is a Florida based photographer specializing in portrait, fine art, fashion, and event photography. In addition to earning a BA in Journalism with a visual communications emphasis in '96 from the University of Kentucky, Forbush also studied at Speos Photo School in Paris, France, where he worked on Fashion, Nudes and Portraits with French Vogue photographer Jean Fracois Bauret and photojournalism with Reuters photographer John Shults.
In 1998, Forbush moved to New York City where he continued to advance his skills and opportunities, taking advanced location lighting with advertising photographer David Arky and assisting other established photographers on shoots for Nike, French Elle, Avis, Antiques Magazine, and Better Homes and Gardens.
While in New York, Forbush continued to pursue his personal work of portraits and street photography. During this time, he developed his own clientele, photographing a mix of advertising, editorial, and commercial work. His images have appeared in newspapers, political campaign advertisements, book jackets, cd covers, and are privately collected.
